THOMPSON SCREW UP OF THE WEEK: HIRING CRIMINALS

WaPo article.

Fred Thompson had no idea that Philip Martin, adviser to the Thompson campaign, was a criminal upon being hired. Did the Thompson campaign do no background checks on any of there employees? Did they not do opposition research on themselves either? Did Phil not tell anyone that he had a criminal past? This would have been quite an avoidable gaffe had these people had any knowledge of what a campaign was.

IF FRED THOMPSON DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HIS ADVISERS, JUST IMAGINE HOW HIS PRESIDENCY WILL BE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FROM A CANDIDATE AND EVEN MORE EVIDENCE THAT FRED THOMPSON DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING!

Dear Mr. Virginia for Mitt,

I do believe you are very wrong when you say that Ron Paul's people have defected. Today alone, Ron Paul has raised over $2 million, putting his campaign closer to their $12 million fourth quarter goal. This is more than any Republican has ever raised online in one day! I do believe that you should research your facts before you make an incorrect accusation especially about an honorable man like Dr. Paul. You should be ashamed of yourself. How could attack someone who is stating the issues and actually not attacking another person in his party nor the other party. Here's an update for November 5th, Ron Paul has raised over $3.1 million in the past 19 hours, making today the single largest fundraising effort of the 2008 election cycle. Maybe you should find another Republican candidate to pick on.

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, aided by an extraordinary outpouring of Internet support Monday, hauled in more than $4.2 million in nearly 24 hours.
