Everyone get excited! Could it be that the last candidate who has DRAGGED his feet to get into the race may also now finally make a decision? Newt Gingrich has said that if he can raise $30 mil. by October 21 he will become a candidate.
I don't know about you but when you bring charges against a man who is guilty of the same crime that you are also committing I think that kind of disqualifies you. The last thing we need is the most polarizing figure of our party to run. Personally I like Newt but running him is the equivalent of the democrats running Hillary Clinton. He is extremely smart but extremely polarizing.
One outcome of him entering could be the final stroke of bad luck for Fred Thompson. The Thompson supporters who have by now finally realized that their candidate is not the DA from New York City that they thought he was will probably shift behind Newt. This spells disaster for Fred.
