3:47 PM: It is also important to mention that since the debate does focus on economic issues the state of the economy in Michigan is horrible. Taxes are through the roof and people are not happy. Michigan has one of the worst unemployment problems in the entire country is one of the worst run states in the entire country.

3:30 PM: Beginning of Debate Coverage. The 6th GOP debate will begin in 30 minutes in Dearborn, Michigan. You can view it on CNBC starting at 4:00 PM. It will be re-airing tonight at 9:00 PM on MSNBC.

What to expect from the Big 4:

McCain: He will have to have a strong showing here. He is in a state where he has been strong in previous elections. Also, he is at a disadvantage here this year due to the fact that Mitt Romney (Native to Detroit and father was MI Governor) is finishing very strongly in Michigan polling. Romney is McCain's biggest threat here today.

Rudy: After getting creamed by Mitt on Friday at the AFP summit in DC he will have to show strong yet again. Since the debate is focusing on economic issues, much as the AFP Summit did, he will have to finish strongly here.

Thompson: He will have to have a very strong debate tonight. After many flops in the past several weeks it is important for his campaign to pick up momentum today. After seeing his performance so far, I would not expect much but he could surprise us today.

Romney: Expect him to due very well today. Even though this is a slanted blog towards Mitt I really think he will due well today. He has always done well talking about fiscal issues which I imagine he would do well at today. He is also very comfortable in Michigan and will be looking ot take knocks at the other 3 candidates listed above.

More coming!
